The ER is garbage. Treated me like a drug addict. Outright denied any pain meds except Tylenol immediately. Refused to do a proper work up. I wouldn't bring a suffering person here, they have no bedside manner, and will make you suffer more while they treat you like a number. Omw to a different hospital now. I will never go back unless I don't have any other option. Female er doctor told me I wasn't going to get treated because my pain wasn't an emergency. 4 hours later I'm still in agony. But this hospital thinks I should suffer more and I should be treated subhuman. Save yourself the trip. Go to Holland or Grand Rapids.
I went into the ER for a very painful Bartholin cyst - neither the doctor nor the nurse ever examined me. So without even knowing what I was dealing with, they told they would be numbing it topically by inserting a needle directly into the cyst (again, without even SEEING IT) and that it would be quite painful. Then when I asked if they could give a pain med first, they said no. Again, i asked where they would be inserting the needle, hoping they might say it would be around the edges, and they said no. "It's going to hurt, and you're going to have to suck it up." was the response I got. I left. Now they say they are charging me. DO NOT GO HERE.
Great service. Very caring and honest. Appreciated the quick service and knowledge the doctor told me. Would make this my #1 for any emergency.
I usually have good experiences at zeeland, but the female Dr. I had last night was awful. I was doubled over in pain and vomitting. Turned out I had an ovarian cyst. She sent me home and told me to take ibuprofen. She just really seemed to care less about me and my pain. She made me feel like I was wasting her time. Just not a good experience. I really hope if she ever has a problem, she gets a Dr. that treats her better than how she treated me.
