While the quality of care seems to be on par with other urgent care centers, the cost is not. Nor is the billing department willing to work with anyone. The only thing they will do is offer you a "payment plan," they do not offer any reductions for self pay people (they do have "financial assistance, but you are required to apply for medicaid before they will consider you, and even as an unemployed person I have "too many assets" to qualify for medicaid or Holland Hospital's financial assistance).
I seriously hope someone from management sees this review and deals with the person responsible.... Accordingly.
I have called back and reported this mistake but I just wanted to warn anyone else out there thinking of going to this place.
However..... I call back today to get the results of my strep throat test and the person who answered the main number tells me, "I am looking at your chart right now and it's negative". So now, thinking my test is negative, I start sharing foods, utinsels and even kissing my one year old again. HOWEVER..... I JUST NOW GOT A CALL FROM THE STAFF THAT MY TEST IS POSITIVE!!! They had the results in yesterday, so the person who answered the phone this morning, was giving VERY INCORRECT information and now the health of my one year old daughter might be at stake!!
At first, this place is amazing. Dr. Holland was very thorough and the staff was great.
I received care for possible pneumonia, which included an x-ray and a swab for any infection. Holland Hospital charged me $500 for the service. I had the same service 2 years ago in Grand Rapids for half the cost. Next time I need care I guess I will be driving to Grand Rapids, I am not going to give any more money to the folks here.
I wish I could give 0 stars. I got in at 730 the day before my wedding concerned about strep throat. They put me in a room immediately and then I waited for 30 minutes while no nurse or doctor showed up. At that point I found the medical assistant and asked if there was any estimate of a wait. There was no estimate or telling if or when anyone would see me, and ended up leaving because no one was able to see me.
Highly recommend this place. They have class. Treat you great. Would recommend to anybody.
This is so not ok.
I was very impressed with my nurse and Doctor (Mott). They were very friendly, knowledgable, and efficient. I went in right at 7 am and was in a room within 10 minutes; the room was clean. I definately would recommend them!
